Podcast Blog: S5, E23 - Jessica Deyoung, What Obedience Looks Like

What happens when two podcasters get together, both focused on putting faith into practice? A wonderful give-and-take of ideas, most of them coming from the guest for this episode, Jessica Deyoung.

Deyoung's ministry primarily serves women, especially those who are unseen and unheard. In this episode, I’ll ask Deyoung about living our faith, especially in terms of obedience to God in all situations. Deyoung has interesting insights and stories regarding the concrete ways we can listen to and respond to God, allowing us to follow God’s will more closely. We’ll also talk about risk-taking, as her family has gotten rid of their house and embarked on a family bus journey across the country to share the gospel.

I learned from this episode as well. One thing that will stick with me is why we need to obey God as soon as we receive instructions, and how we can mistime God's purposes by delaying our obedience.
