Practical Faith Academy Blog: S6, E12 - Anne Wooten, Making the Change

Sometimes you rock along doing the same job year after year, then realize perhaps you need to follow God into something different. That was the case with Anne Wooten, who made a career change in her sixtieth year that has led her into helping others through her books and her coaching ministry.

Wooten discovered her own roadmap leading her from the world of accounting into a Christian ministry to write and to provide help in life transitions. Wooten has a lot to say about dealing with the fear and uncertainty that accompany life changes.

So, on this Practical Faith Academy episode, I’ll ask Wooten about how Christians can navigate change, how we can rely on God providing a roadmap to us one step at a time, and how we have to fight the inner critic that keeps us from changing.

One of my personal takeaways is that trust in God can be disrupted by our pride and our need to control things. Trusting God is easier when we swallow our pride and yield our need to control. Easier said than done, but that's my goal.
