The life of a Christian is ideally a pilgrim's journey, striving to reach a destination, seeking higher levels of goodness and purification, and seeking to bring others along on the trek. That faith life was exhibited in David Taylor's commitment to walking the Camino de Santiago this spring, a famous faith pilgrimage in Spain. Cecil and David review David's journey of ups and downs on the Camino and how they form a metaphor for our individual faith lives.
The Practical Faith Academy podcast is about asking individual Christians how they put faith into practice in their corner of the world. David's unique experience, which he shared with many on Facebook, is a great example of how we put our faith into practice - not that we need to go to Spain to execute our faith walk, but rather how we walk our own "Camino" every day.
Highlights of the podcast:
2:26 What does seven-day practical faith mean to David
3:43 About the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage
6:28 How he trained for the pilgrimage walk
8:44 How David’s walk changed with a new attitude on Day 3 after two difficult days
